In granting conditional class certification, U.S. District Judge Harold Baer Jr. cited affidavits from former interns at Harper's Bazaar and other Hearst publications that established that they performed entry-level duties, which, in one case, included making deliveries around New York City on foot while being required to wear fashionable attire rather than walking shoes.
